Apparently Ryan Adams set out to make a "mope-rock" album from the 80's and titled it appropriately "Love is Hell". The style is perfect and he is very talented as a songwriter and performer. A wide Range of songs here. So much that I wondered at times if my playlist had jumped forward. It was surprising to hear many of these songs from the same artist. Let alone the same album.
