Hot Hot Heat - Make up the Breakdown

This group would have been one of my favorites in high school. They sound like they just escaped from a time capsule from 1982. They have a very mod new-wave sound that feels a lot like Elvis Costello or Joe Jackson, but occasionally they whine their way into Robert Smith style vocals. I have a hard time deciding if this album is technically good, because I am so pre-disposed to love the poppy songs they are playing. Good party album for people in their late thirties.
