Probably the largest community of online artists is at
Deviant Art. Although it sounds like a site full of goth dirty pictures, it is actually a very large group of artists that post their current artwork up for public consumption.
Photographs,
Photoshop Collages,
Freehand Art pieces, and even
poetry is posted on an hourly basis. The site is very slow, but the artwork is consistently high quality. The Daily Top "Favorites" on the front page marks the new art pieces that people have listed as their Favorites, and they are usually amazing.
